On Sunday 20/08/2017, Naaila sadly passed away after a 5 year battle with cancer.
Throughout the last 5 years, people have regularly told Naaila and us (her family) about how motivated and inspired they were through reading her blogs and poems, and we decided that it would best to let her fans know of her passing, albeit two years after her last post.
In her memory, we decided to start a charity project so that she continues to receive awards. The main aim of the project is to build a Mosque in Zanzibar and also a community project (which is yet to be decided)

I also wanted to 'complete' the blogs on her behalf. Naaila stopped writing in May 2015, and even in the comments section, I could see people asking how she was doing and why they hadn't heard from her in a long time. My aim was to write a few short blogs detailing the last two years from my point of view as her little brother, but wasn't sure how many people actually still read these posts 2 years later.
Please let me know in the comments if this would be a good idea.
