The Dance with Death.

...and they were at it again,
their little dance,
he leading the way,
she begging for a chance.

Death: One step, two step,
he knew the way,
she was his this time,
slowly slipping away.

But her Lord, most Merciful,
had for her other plans,
He embraced her softly,
and held onto her hands.

"Not today, O servant of mine,
I still want more for you.
He won't win this dance,
go back and do your due."

And so he retreated,
His face dark and grim,
and so the dance ended,
and once again, was she

saved by Him.

The Silent Prayer.

...and mostly she cried
 for her mother,
 her small, gentle mother,
 who prayed fervently
 into the night.

 Her kind, strong mother,
 who wept silently
 till her eyes ran dry.

 Her quiet, mild, mother,
 who smiled a smile,
 which no longer
 reached her eye.

The Wait for Eternity.

...and he smiled sadly at her,
his beautiful little girl,
his pride, his life,
she was his whole world.
'How did this happen?'
he questioned sadly,
'She is my baby,'
he pleaded silently.

And she saw the hurt,
and wiped his tears,
by his feet she tenderly sat,
'Even when I'm gone,
I'll always be your little girl.
And when we're reunited,
We'll feel no pain at all.'
